Dwelling destroyed by fike â€" Early on Monday morning last Mr. D. Mo- on fire. Mrs. McLeod, who was alone in the house, was wakened from her sleep by crackling of fire and smell of sm:)ke. Immediately upon being arousfed she discovered the roof was in flames, she at once gave the alarm to her neighbors, but before help could read), the flames had made such headway as to prevent entering Ihe house and very little of the furn- iture was saved. It is a mystery how the fire originate as there had been no fire in the stove from early the eve- ning previous. As it broke out in the roof there must have been some smouldering spark lying for several hours. There was no insurance. The Flesherton cheese factory com- on Monday last with quite an increased patronage. Building operations are brisk here now. Joseph Smith's new shop and dwelling is almost ready for ocoupancy.
