Notwithitaud- ing the unfavorable stato'ot the weath- er and bad condition of the roads, the llall was filled to its utmost capacity. The Programme was partly .sustained by the amateur talent of the place, and partly by the Christ Church Choir from Murkdalo, with Mr. Wm. McDougal who was in his usual happy humour, aud delighted the Maxwell- iaiis immensely. Mr. J. Ccesar and Miss HoUinghead's comic ducts wert well received, as, indeed, was the whole programme, everybody being thoroughly well satisfied with the ev- ening's entertainment, which in all probability is the best that has been given in MaxweU for a long time past.
