Sled moved a. house which he imrcihased last winter where it wsa located north winter where it was located north of Wodehouse, to the lot he bought fromi P. J. Tfeurs/ton.; The house was brougiht on a large moving float and was moved to Flesherton in one day, a distance otf II miles. It was quite an undertaking, with hydro and telephone men on the job to clear the patdx of wires. Mr. Sled will now have a nice five-room home in toniwi. Russell, Rock Mills, Thursday, June 16th, it being the fortieth wedding aninversary. Twent-seven of tihe immediate relatives sat down to supper, the table being centred by a three-tier wedding cake, made by the bride's sister, Mrs. Budhanan of Norwood, the bridesmaid of forty years ago. Mr. Walter Hvssell, the grooimsman was also present. Later in the evening, much to thk sui-prise of Mr. and Mrs. Russell, a large crowd of neighbors and oth<;r friends gathered. The evening was spent with Mr. M. S. McLeod of Flesherton and Mr. Chester Camer- on of Maxwell favoring the ^rowd wih several baigpipe selections. Mr. J. W. Cook of Flesherton was pre- sent with the loud speaker. Several others assisted with music and call- iniff for the dance which rollowed. During the evening, an address wa'< read by Mrs. Emes. Acheson, =iste- of the bri 'e. and the presen- tation <^f a studio couch was made. ?(veral oiher lovely gifts were re- received, among them being a beauti- ful taible cloth from friends of the Wareham district. St John's United Church Hcdds 75th Anniversary Th« T2nd anniversary of St. John's United Church was celebrat- ed with two fine services of worship on Sunday, June 19th. In tihe morn- ing, tihe minister, Rev. A. G. Mac- pherson, was in charge and preach- ed on "Invitation and Enlisitment," urging' the importance of thaa« two phases of church life. The junior choir. Under Mrs. J. E. Milne, led the singing and rendered two fine anthenns. > In the evening, Rev. Morrison Sellar of Knox United Church, Owen Sound, was in charge, and presented the claim of the Christ upon the individual and the home. The sen- ior choir sang two anthems, with Mrs. R. Andreiws taking the solo part.
