MisS Dennis of Durham gave two humorous recitations, while Mrs- McAlister and Miss Moore of Dun- dalk gave some fine instrumentals on the piano, which were very much enjoyed, Mis's Margaret Mclntyre and two eirl friends from Dundalk save a trio on the piano and receiv- C'^ hearty applause. Flesherton Post Office Moves To New Quarters FU-pherton Post Office is moving this Thursday from its present site -.-1 the building just north of the Var- iety store. Po'stmaster G. E. Banks Tiurchased the building some months ago from Mr- Alf- Down and for the nast couple of weeks has been nvsk- ine alterations to the interior of the Huildins to fit it for post office work. The s-ivitch will be made following the sorting of the noon mail on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Banks and fnmily reside in the apartment over the new post office. Funeral of Mrs. Alex. Miller Tlie funeral services for the late Mrs. Alex. Miller (the former Lila Boyd-, who died at her home two miles north of Flesherton. was held WeAiesday, April 24th. Following a short Service at th-e home, a public service was conducted at Christ Church, Markdale, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. W- G. Bugler oflficiating. Inter- ment was made in the Markdale cemetery- The pallbearers were four brothers, John and Elgin Boyd of Markdale, Leslie Boyd of Meaford, Stanley Boyd of Collingwood, brother-in-law, James Loucks, and neiphew, Donald Loucks. of Meaford. Returned Missionaries Have Interesting Service More than capacity crowds enjoy- ed an evening of Fireside fellowship in Cedarside Baptist Chuuch last Sunday. Even standing room was entirely exhausted long before the sclieduled time of starting. In addi- tion to the reugalr seating accommo- dation, all extra chairs were filled. An unique feature of the program was an infoi-mal interview between Mr. and Mrs- F- B. Keys and Dr- Dorothy Timipany, physician and surgeon in charge of Pithapuram, India, and Miss Evelyn Ha\vn, Sup- erintendant o° Nurses Training School- also at Pithapuram- Ques- tions concerning the peoples of India and their varied needs of med- ical, physical and ^spiritual nature were asked and answered. Famine conditions, political trends, war-time shortages, black market, reptiles, hospital work, as well as mi'ssionary activities were discussed by those seated around the fireplace on the platform, arranged as a living-room, and flood-lighted for the occasion. The two young women, one a mem- ber of a third generation mi'ssionary family in the Baptist field in India, were dressed in native saris and sandals. Scarrow. Secretary â€" Bob Phillips. Treasurer â€" Ken Henry. The surplus money from the Hockey Club will be used to assist in financing of the Sports Club- Tliree softball teams were chosen with the following as captains: H- Richardson, Toronto Line North; John Milne, Park team, and Bruce Thurston, the Hill team. League games will be played each Monday evening- with the following schedule of games: May 6 â€" Park vs Hill. May 13 â€" Toronto Line vs Park.
