Miss Hazel Fenwiok of Maxwell â- pent the week end with Miss Bm- ma Meads. Friends here were sorry to hear Mrs. MacDonald (nee Aileen Kar- Stedt) had the misfortune to break lier wrist. Sorry to hear Mrs. Malcolm Mc- Innia is not enjoying very good health in Toronto. Her many friends here wish for her a spedy recovery. Eby Tuesday afternoon, Fob. 27th, when 63 articles were packed for shipping. Miss Mary Mills, teller in the Bank of Toronto here, is enjoying two weeks' holidays. Miss Kay Ratcliffe of the Markdale branch is relieving. Miss Norma Heitman of CoUing- wood is spending a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Heitman. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Mills and family of the 4th Line moved last week to the farm purchased by their son, Frank, who is in the Navy. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Fawcett and family of <3ollingwood visited Satur- day evening with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Alexander and son, Jimmie, of Creemore visited on Sunday at the Alexander and McKee homes. Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Rae and Alys, and Mrs. Thomas, spent the week end with friends at London. Mrs. Thomas, who sipent the past fire months at the home of her daugh- ter, Mrs. Rae, will remain in London for a ferw days, before returning to her home in Redvers, Sask. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. CJonn, Toronto, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Rozell Conn. Mr. and Mrs. Borb McQuay and children of Collingwood visited Sun- day with Mr. and Mrs. '' N. Long. Mr Geo. Short has been a natient in Markdale hospital, returned home Thursday of last week and able to he around again. Mrs. John Sweeney and children, Joe and' Patricia, of Toronto are visiting for two weeks at the home of Mrs. Sweeney's brother, Mr. Lloyd Moore. P.O. Bert Davidson, D.F.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Davidson, arrived home last Friday from overseas, _ ac- companied by his wife, who resides at Hamilton. Bert's many friends in Fevfirsham and district are pleased to see him safe home again and are proud of his having won the Dis- tinguished Plying Cross. Before coming here Pilot Officer and Mrs. Davidson spent several days in Col- linsrwood, where his father ' recov- ering from his illness. Moore on Thursday afternoon and accomplished a fine afternoon's work. The April meet- ing will be held at the home of Mrs. Andrew Wright. Friday evening the Euhcre Clvb gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Richardson, where Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Harrison entertained. A haippy time was spent into the small hours of the morning. Mr. McMillan spent Sunday with his mother. Miss Agnes Heard of Toronto spent the week and with her par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Heard. Owing to the death of Rev. Pen- man's son-in-law, church service at Sa'em was not held Sunday. Another of the series of social evening was held Thursday evening- in the Orange Hall, for the purpose of raising money for boxes to the boys in, the armed services. A large crowd gathered in spite of the bad roads, and an enjoyable time was spent. VANDELEUR "Producing for (Consumer's Needs'' was the subject for discussion at the Farm Forum meeting at the home of Mrs. Ethel Hutchinson on 'M'onday evening. Billie Johnson Jr. presided and Dora Boland had charge of the recreation program. "Two groups were (formed with Mrs. Ormsby and Vernon Fawcett acting as secretar- ies. The Forum believed that all farm products should be s^^M^ on a graded basis and that all live stock should be e-raded on the rail. Tuesday evening of last wiien Mrs. Don Carson presided in the absence of the president, Miss M. Craig. It was decided to get up a pln^' to raise funds. Mrs. Martin had charge of ^e discussion period and took as her topic "Liberators at Work," discussing some of the works of Livingstone and Currie in Africa. Scripture reading by Yvonne Genoe was taken from Luke 8:4-15. Mrs. Martin read a poem "Life in a Book. Patsy Stewart read a selection "Hearts and Hands in Prayer" and another, "Choices", was read by Joyce Genoe. Mrs. Don (Jarson and Gayle Genoe each read a number of jokes. For recreation, the convener conducted the games, among "'bich was a boxing match in which Joyce C^enoe and Dorland Camplbell match- ed their skill in a boxing bout. Both were blindfolded to commence but as thp game continued Dorland was surprised with Joyce's remarkable al)ility as a boxer and investigated to find that his adversary did not wear a blindfold. (Issued under the authority of the Emergency Shelter Regulations, Order-in-Council, P.O. 9439, December 19, 1944) TO ALL PERSONS PLANNING TO MOVE TO Victoria • Vancouver * New Westminster Hamilton • Toronto * Ottawa • Hull As part of a plan to meet congested conditions, all persons who propose to rent or occupy family quarters in any of these Emergency Shelter Areas cire required by Board order first to obtain a permit from the Administrator of Emer- gency Shelter for the district. The purpose of the order is to help those who must be in these areas to obtain necessary accommodation. Before completing arrangements to moye to any of these districts, write to the Administrator for full parti- culars of the Emergency Shelter Regulations as they apply to that district. THIS IS THE LAW No person may move to and rent or occupy family quarters in any of these districts without an Administrator s permit (Form E.S. 1).
