One must be secured by Saturday night if the institution is not to be closed up. Who'll volun- teer to relieve the board from "stewing" about this problem? Town ladies have been busy doing up fruit for the hospital this past week in great style, says the Meaford Ex- press, and speaking of hospitals an urgent aprpeal is being made for nurses, registered or ' 'practical," and even for surse-aides, women without nursing experience, to as- sist in hospitals. If the Ontario gov- ernment had not a few year's ago deliberately set about to reduce the number of studen nurses by shut- ting down the classes in the smaller hospitals like our own of the prov- ince, the present situation would not bo so acute. It's your own fault if you prefer to forget the past rather than use it for the future. A man is a sucess these days who has a furnace, a set of furnace pipes coal in the cellar, and a coal shovel. 8TH LINE OSPREY Mr. and Mrs. A. E.
