Six inches of snow last Thursday gave us another taste of winter and since then the weather has been most- freezing with snow flurries. Some farmers have tapped, but the run has been vei-y light. Mr. Bob Bellamy received informa- tion last week that he came first with eighty-eight per cent in the jfive- month horticultural course he took at the Ontario Agricultural College. We wish Bob all success in his work. The ffpecial Holy Week services being held this 'Wednesday night in St. John's United Church will com- mence at 7.30 p.m. instead of 8.00 as previously announced on account of the High School commencement ex- ercises being held the same night. Mr. 'Wni. Mead« of the O.D.R. brought an extra large Leghorn pul- let egg to The Advance Office on Tuesday. It measured six and a half by eight and an eighth inches. It is the largest yet received and will al- most make a breakfast itself for the editor. There is a nail keg in this office filled with dross, which weighs in the neighborhood of three hundred pounds. P.C. Cooke and Mr. Harry Paton are the only ones to lift the keg the height of their waist out of a large number who have attempted the feat. You big, strong men are welcome to try your back on this little keg, What could equal a visit to that old and long familiar sugar camp on one of these beautiful spring morn- ings? Or perhaps you would like a ramble over the hills trying for a shot at that sleepy growndhog which is just emerging from its winter's den on Pickle's Hill. So if you are planning on visiting the old home town for a week end, a week, or even a two week vacation call Harold Best, HO. 5064, for information.
