St. Andrew's Suiiday School picnic will be held on Friday, July 29, In the school grounds. Mr. and Mrs. Hector McLean, Mr Murray McMillan, Mrs. Marshall, To. ronto, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hill of Fergus to a picnic at Wasaga Beach the first of the week. Deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs. Neil Cameron and family in their sad bereavement. Mr. Cameron passed away Friday evening and was in his sixtieth year. The funeral was held Monday from his late residence, interment taking place in Priceville cemetery. Miss Dorothy Richardson of Swin- ton Park spent the past week with her j?randparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Carson. The Talbot family motored to Palm Beach and Miss Winnifred Talbot re- turned with them to spend her holi- days. Miss Marguerite Batchelor, Wood- stock, visited her parental roof. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Batchelor, Florence and Billy returned with her as far as Belfountain. Mr. Wm. Acheson visited with het daughter, Mrs. Earl Walton, at Hope- ville, whose little daughter is much improved after being scalded with water. Miss Thompson of Markdale spent a few days with Miss Doris Boland. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Howard McGee on the birth of a son. The Sunday School is having a pic- nic to Collingwood on Friday of this week. EUGENIA The [Woman's Association will hold its regular meeting on Thursday af- ternoon, July 21, at 2 o'clock in the basement of the church. Roll call to be answered by each one naming her favourite fruit and telling why she likes it. • Vandeleur and Eugenia boys en- joyed a friendly game of Softball on the local grounds on Monday evening the score being 14-7 for Eugenia. Mr. and Mrs. Neil MacDonald have returned home from their honeymoon trip to Noranda and Northern Ontar- io. They had a very enjoyable time. Messrs. W. J. Tilden of Seaforth and C. Tilden of Harrislon serv- ed a delicious dinner at the home or Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Martin on Thurs- day evening to which five couples were invited. Mr. Stewart gave a very interesting talk on health stress- ing the need of certain vitamins m our food and how to retain them. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. McLaughlan of Vancouver visited with the form- er's sister, Mrs. Richard Park, ano family on Saturday. It is over 38 years since h^ has visited here and his friends gave him a most hearty welcome. Misses Irene and fehra Doupe of Flesherton visited a few days with their grandarents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Haney. Campbell, Ruby, Irene and Janet of Hopeville and Miss Lila Bell of Ot- tawa. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Oliver and Sadie week ended in Muskoka. Miss Marion Muir will have charge of the Ladies' Aid program on Wed- nesday of next week at the home of Mrs. J. Knox. Lunch committee: cake, Mrs. Mitchell, Mrs. Mathewson; sandwiches, Mrs. A. C. Muir, Mrs. Henry Patterson. The Women's Institute meets on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Anna McMillan. All are invited. Friends from Flesherton, Swinton Park, Salem, Priceville and Dundalk attended the miscellaneous shower on Thursday for Mr. and Mrs. Mel Ho- garth when they were presented with a beautiful array of gifts by their many friends, cheques, granite ware, silver, linen etc., being received. Miss Maephail read an address while Mr. and Mrs. Ken Stewart unwrapped the parcels and read the verses. Mr. and Mrs. Hogarth responded thank- ing all for their kindness. Lunch was served at midnight. Mr. W. J. Stewart, representing an aluminum company demonstrated serving dinners at the homes of Mrs. Geo. Fisher, Mrs. 'J. D. McLeod and Mrs. Geo. Snell la.st week. A full course dinner was cooked and served in the homes to invited guests in each case. All were delighted with the demonstration. Week end and Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.
