Miss Millie McMullen has returned from a very pleasant trip to Europe, where she visited in England, Scot- land, Holland, France, Italy, Switzer- land and Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Graham and fam- ily of Clarksburg visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Cameron on Sunday. Mrs. David Genoe spent a week with her sister, Mrs. Ed. Hillock, Maxwell. Mrs. ^Genoe's health is somewhat impaired and we hope that she is feeling better soon. Dr. A. E. Little has returned to Powaasan, after .spending the past week with his wife here. Mrs. Chas. Martin, spent a few days the past week at her parental home in Flesherton. Mr. Ray Genoe has purchased the former Methodist church building and will alter it into a residence. Mrs. Ben Shortt and children spent a few days the past week with her â- parents near Feversham. Mr. and Mrs. Wes Carr and family of Cedoux, Sask., were callers on the former's cousin, Mr. David Genoe, and family. Messrs. Jammie jand Eddie Har- grave of Toronto, also Miss Hickling, visited over the week end and holiday- ed with the Park family. Mr. John Williams and Mr. Joe Williams attended exhihitiOTi for a -I .14 FEVERSHAM Bishop Swalm of the Brethren in Christ Chur-jh preached another very interesting and instructive sermon in the tent here Sunday afternoon, from Job 28: 7, "There is a path which no fowl knoweth and which the vulture's eye hath not seen." The expressions heard frem many were to the effect that we might have the privilege of hearing Bishop Swalm again. They have moved their tent to another lo- cality, after .two weeks of services here and they made a number of con- verts here in that time. Many people have been helped in theii Christion pathway by their earnest Christian testimony and prayers. Our schools have opened again after the holidays with Miss Dempsey aa principal in the Continuation school, Miss Shouldice, assistant, and Miss Bradley in the public school. Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Crawford of Whitby is visiting with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Moffat, on the Eighth Line. Mr. and Mrs. G. Springgay and baby, Betty, of Beamsville were vis- itors with Mr. and Mrs. Springgay and family here, over the week end and holiday. The roll call was well answered with a verse of a poem I learned at school. Minrtes of July meeting wore read and approved. Miss A, Macphail, then gave an address, taking for her subject, "things worth living for", which was thoroughly enjoyed. Mrs. Thos. Irwin extended an invitation to her home for the September meet- ing, the roll sail is the name of a Canadian author and one of his books.
