Mr. Carman Haines of Kimberlej visited with friends in this vicinity. Mr. Alfred Graham spent last week end with his mother, Mrs. J. Haines. Kimberley. Miss Ursula Thompson spent a day with friends at Duncan. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Richardson and daughter, Fern, of Redwing, spent the first of the week with Mr. and Mrs. C. Smart. Mr. Thos. McCullough of Toronto spent Friday last with Mrs. McCul- lough and children. OSPREY COUNCIL MEETING The regular meeting of the Osprey Township Council has been changed to meet at Feversham on Saturday Jury 2nd, in place of June 25th. ROCK MILLS LADIES' AID The Ladies' Aid met at the home oi Mrs. Richard Allen on Wednesday last. Twelve members and nin vis- itors being present. The meeting opened by singing "Blessed Assur- ance", and the 4th Chapter of He- brews was read by Mrs. Allen, follow- ed by the Lord's Prayer. Arrange- . ments were made for the garden party .to be held on July 8th at the Baptist church, Rock Mills, where the play ."Mary's Castle," will be presented. Four new members joined the Aid Lunch com., for July meeting to bt held at the home of Mrs. Sam Shier? 4 on July 20th:- Mrs. Merion Croft ' Mrs. A. Blackburn, cake; Mrs. S Shiers, Mrs. A. English, sandwich. PROTON STATION Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Dever are on a motor trip to Dundas, Toronto and other points. Mrs. Devcr's sister Mrs. Sinclair, returned to her home in Dundas with them. Mr. and Mrs. George Williams mot ored from Toronto on Saturday morn ing and visited over Sunday with Miss Tena Park and her mother. They with Miss Park, Mr. Joe Park and son, Gordon, spent Sunday with friends at Feversham. FEVERSHAM Mr. Ivan Alexander of Owen Sound visited at his home here last week. Ivan is an employee of the elevator in that city and is having holidays at present. Mrs. H. Alexander and daughter Mrs. H. McKee, visited with the for- mer's daughter, Mrs. Will. Colquette, in Owen Sound last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Beatty of To- ronto were visitors at his home here last week and called on Mr. and Mrs. Alexander. Mrs. Gekill and nephew, Mr. An- drew Davis of Clarksburg visited with the former's daughter, 'MSss Florence Gekill, our telephone oper- ator here last week. The Ladies' Aid of the Presbyter- ian church here is in good financial standing, w:lth Mrs. James Long, president; Mrs. G. Eby vice-pres.; Mrs. H. C. Francis, treas.; and Miss Lily Thompson secretary; assistant- sec., Mrs. H. Osborne. The monthly meeting of the Ladies' Aid of the Presbyterian church here met at the home of Mrs. Jas. Thomp- son on the 12th line. There were twelve members present and a num- ber of visitors. Mrs. John Ross of Maxwell visited with her grandaughter, Mrs. Miltor Nichol here last week. Mr. Robert Alister has reshingled his barn. It is a large barn and he employed three men for the work, H. McKee, J. Smith ar.d Charlie Kerton. Mr. Eli Robertson is erecting a new stable on his property. Sorry to report that Mrs. Chris. Thompson is under the Dr's care at present. Miss Ella Alister spent an after- noon with Mrs. Colquette last week. Mr. H. C. Francis, Manager of the Bank of Toronto here, has gone on his holidays and a new man will be relieving for a couple of weeks. The Feversham foot ball team has been reorganized with Mr. Thomas Thombury as vice-pres., and Mr. Charlie Kerton. captain, and Mr. J. W. Robinson, sec-treas. There wasn't a large crowd at the Forester field day on the 14th. The soft ball game between Feversham and Mclntyre came out in the latter's favor. The foot ball frame betweer Kimberley and Feversham resulted in a tie, no goals being scored. CEYLON Mrs. Fawcett of Eugenia is visit- ing her sister, Mrs. Thos. Hazard. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. McCartney of Cien Huron, Mr. Bru; ;Young ot Duntroon were visitors the past week softball, which resulted in favor of Reck Mills. The pupils from this school will write their entrance examinations namely: Leila Clark, Laurie Russell, and Leo. Patton.
