Mr. and Mrs. Corry and family of Toronto, spent the past week visiting their friends in this burg. Mr. David Hincka, accompanied by Miss Jean and Mr. Lachie Mc- Kinnon motored to Fergus on Thurs. and attended the graduation of Miss Catherine McMillan. Mr. Innis McLean returned to To- ronto after spending a few weeks at his parental home. Mr. Neil Norman of Melancthon and Miss Jean McLean were visitors the first of the week at Mr. Colin McLean's. Mr. Alex McLean of Tottenham spent the week end at his parental home. Mrs. Wm. Hincks spent a few days visiting- in Markdale. Mv. and Mrs. Elmer Watson and family of Toronto, have returned after two or three years spent in the citv. Mrs. Aggie Salter is spending a couple of weeks visiting in Toronto. Mrs. Hector McLean returned home from Toronto sfter spending a couple of weeks visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jack McMeekin have moved into tile McTaggart house and Mr. and Mrs. Weir and family have moved into the late Mbs Mary Ann McLean's house. Kernahan and Mrs. J. A. Kernahan are vijiting In Toronto this week and are taking in the Shriner's Convention. Miss Sproule of Collingwood ts visiting with friends in this locality at present. Mr and Mrs. Acheson of Victoria Corner.; spent Sunday with the lat- ter's aunt. Mrs. John Bl'>ck. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Hawken of Flesherton spent Sunday with the latter's sister, Mrs. John Brown of Rob Rov. Feversham spent. Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kaitting and Elsie. We are sorry to report Miss Phyi- lis Graham of Flesherton high school under quarr.ntine for .scarlet fever at the home of her grandpnrents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Smith. Ronald Middleton who first developed Mr. and Mrs. W. Spilker and Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Metcalf of Shelburne, and Mr. and Mrs. C. Newell visited > with Mr. and Mrs. E. Binnington, Maxwell. The cases are very light and we hope the patients will soon be well again. Mr. Neil MacDonald accompanied Mr. Frank Taylor to Toronto on Monday, with a truck load of stock. Neil enjoyed the trip immensely. Mr. Ken Kaitting of Mclntyro and friend, Mr. Bert Kerton spent the week end with the former's par- ents. Mr. and Mrs. Chas Thompson and family visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Clark, East Backline near Flesherton on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eby and Herbie and Dave of Feversham also their daugh ter, Mrs. Forsythe and husband and babe of Owen Sound and Mrs. Eby's mother, Mrs Donaldson were Sunday guests at the club house. Mr. A. Smith received the sad news of the death of his sister, Mrs. Bates in Toronto last week. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved friends. Mrs. Thos. Betts of Collingwood gravel spent a few days the past week with her brother, Mr. Thos. Gilliland, who is ill. Mrs. Alex McDonald of Weston Is with her uncle, Mr. Henry Cairns at present. We are pleased to see her back in the village. Mr. Wilfved Magee has disposed of his old car and is now driving a sedan. A good program was provided and considerable busi- ness was transacted. A large number from here took in the Monster Young People's Ban- quet in Markdale on May 30th.
