An objective was set for each dealer, the objective being arrived at from the dealer's sales in April, May and June. Several prizes were offered to the dealers who reached their objective, and we are pleased to say that T'lcsherton went over the top, and our choice of the l)rizes offered was a new Beatty Electric Washing Machine. Mrs. R. H. Linley Passes At The Early Age of 33 I It is with much ret^et that we re- cord the death of Mrs, R. H. Linley, [ who passed away at her home. Max- well, on Dec. 14th. Deceased was 33 years and five months of age. The funeral service was held in St. Mary'e Church, Maxwell, and was conducted by Rev. PojTSon of Dundalk. Floral tributes were as follows: A spray from the L.O.B.A. and L.O.L.; sprays from the Bennington family'', Miss Maynard and school, Mr. and Mrs. Geo Linley, Mr. and Mrs. John Blakeley, and Sadie and Garfield McLeod; pillow from husband and daughter May; a wreath from the family; wreath from the Tozer family. Besides the sorrow- ins: husband, she leaves one daughter, May; also mother and father and 3 sisters and four brothers, namely Mrs, Louis Kerton, Maxwell; Mrs, George Long, Flesherton; Miss Annie Priestly Maxwell; Allan Priestly. Port Arthur; George Priestly, Maxwell; Jno. Priest- ly, Maxwell; and Robert Priestly of Dundalk, We extend our deep sympathy with the sorrowing ones in their sad be- reavement. Wright The following on the life of the late George Wright of Proton township was received too late for publication last week: (By John Aldcorn, Swinton Park) George Wright wsa born on Novem- ber 15th, 1854 in Nassagaweya Town- ship, Halton County, and died Decem- ber 5th, 1927, aged 74 years. He was buried on December 7th in Salem United Church cemetery, Rev, S, G, McCormack, his pastor, of Priceville conducting services at the house and grave. The pall-bearers were six old neighbors: Neil McMillan, John Mc- Nalty, George Black, W. R. Richard- son, John and William Haw. Mr. Wright came to Proton in the fall of the year 1880, 47 years ago. He bought lot 17, concession 17, and there he has lived ever since. In 1883 he married Bella Dow, daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. Andrew Dow, of this place, and they together, by honest endeavor, builded a home. To them were born nine children, one dying in infancy and being buried in Swinton Park cemetery, and the youngest daughter. Miss Lizzie, who was buried only two weeks ago. Besides Mrs, Wright the other members of the fam- ily left to mourn are: Annie, Mrs. Sel- wyn McLean, Honeywood; Mary, Mrs, Sam Coulter, of Shackleton, Sask.; John and Andrew on nearby farms; Howard of Flesherton, Edward hi Priceville and Wilfred at home, all of whom can look back with pleasure and respect to a father who made a suc- ress of life and who Ret them an ex- ample which they migh^ worthily follow. complete â€" G.
