Fire destroyed the bam and con- tents early Friday morning at the farm of Mr. Hartley Lambe, 3rd line St. Vincent. The farm is under lease to Mr. Geo. Rice. The fire broke out about 4.30 o'clock and Mr. Rice knew nothing of it until the reflect- ion of the flames on his bedroom win- dow woke him up. The fire had gained such headway that nothing could be done to save the building. Some of tlfe live stock including hens were saved, but the season's crop three horses one cow and one pig perished in the fire. The pump house and henhouse were also destroyed but the hard work of the neighbors saved the_ drive shed. The barn was a substantial structure 30 by 68 on a stone foundation. It is partially covered by insurance as werfe the contents. â€" Meaford Mirror. GIFTS FOR EVERYBODY C.C.M.
