Perkins all of Toronto LO.L. and LO.B.A. Held Fowl Supper A splendid attendance of members of Flesherton L.O.B..A and L.O.L. was enjoyed at the annual banquet of the two Lodges held in Chalmer"s United church on Friday evening of last week. An excellent table was prepared by the ladies, consisting of ducks and geese, etc. and abost seven- ty-five members and guests did justice to the repast. At the close of the banquet toasts were offered and were interspersed by readings and musical numbers. The toast to King and Country was proposed by Mr. George Banks, Master of L.O.L. 2855 and was briefly responded to by F. J. Thurston. Mrs. H. Down proposed the toast to the L.O.L, and Mr. Jos. Blakely. a member of the Association for many years, gave a few reminiscenses of •old days and F. W. Duncan also re- sponded. The toast to the L.O.B.A. was proposed by C. J. Bellamy, the first Master of L.O.L. 2855 and Mrs. E. Trempe, Worthy Mistress of the LO.B.A. ably responded. Mr. Gord- on Warling won the autographed quilt recently worked by the ladies, the total amount of money received for it being |60.00. Messrs. F. W. Mrs. Christina Campbell i Paseed Away on Tues. There passed away on Tuesday morning the I3inst i(r*. Christina Campbell at the ripe old age of y4 years. Emigrating to Canada with her husband, shortly afcer marriage, in 1856 by sailing vessel, being six weeks on the ocean, .\jrriving at Que- bec, Montre.:!. Toronto and finally Owen Sound. E. .\mand of Dundalfc. who spoke very comfortingly, his subject dealing largely with the life here and the life beyond, and referred touch- ingly to the last days of her life in recalling scenes and reminiscenses of her early life in Scotland, in Gaelie. ' having a warm heart to the old "Psalms." "0 God of Bethel by whose hand", and "O God our help in, ages past" were sung as a tribute to' her revered memory.
