Mr. Daniel McTavish returned Sat-' urday from the Conservatjive con-| vention at Winr.ipeer. when Hon. R. B. Bennett was chosen as the leader | of the Liberal-Conservative party. A very enjoyable time was apent in the| Western metropolis and his impress- J ions of the trip will be lasting. Monday night seems to be a more favorable time for petty theiving tn town than any other. Yesterday morning (Tuesday) Mr. Wm. Meads of town reported that two hams and a quantity of fruit had been stolen from the cellar of his home some time the night beore. It would be a fine thing for the town if the perpetrators of the thefts were brought to justice. Flesherton's oldest citizen, Mrs. VanDusen, has been very seriously ill for the past few days. Mr. and Mrs. Frank VanDusen of Toronto are in attendance at present. It is to be hoped that this highly respected lady will improve quickly and be able to be out once more.
