Mr. Eaton of Unionville and Mr. Spencer of Dundalk in the afternoon. There was splendid music by the choir, which was assisted by Rev. Eaton and Misses Vada Henderson of Toronto, Marjory Acheson of Oakville and Sylvia Ache- son of Toronto. The walls have been newly decorated and the beautiful flowers banked at the front of the church lent beauty and pleasantness to the occasion. During the after- noon service a Christening was held. We wish to thank all who helped to make our day so enjoyable, especially the music and flowers. The thank- offering amounted to $252.25. Mr. Geo. Best went to Toronto one day last week and had a slight oper- ation on his foot. It is improving nicely. Mrs. Walter Acheson is visiting in CEYUON ali'. On Saturday, 24th ult., this much- respected couple were surrounded by six ci' their living sons, with their wives and families, of whom there were 23 grandchildiren, four great grardchildren, as well as a number of intimate friends. James and Wilson, two sons, are residents in the West and were unable to be present. Mr. Sc'ley is of good Irish stock, having been bom in County Armagh, from w'-ich so many of our sturdy pioneers c-^me; he is in his 85th year. Mrs. Pseley is a Canadian, born in Albion township 76 years ago. Mr. Seeley was in his early teens when his par- '^nts, who emigrrated to Brampton, <^nt., brought him to Osprey, where the family settled. There Mr. Seeley 1-ooed and won Miss Martha Hayes, ''e belle of the district, and there the appy couple spent the first half of "leir wedded life. Thirty-one years --ro they moved to their present ' ome, where they have continued heir life of happiness and content- ment, and bid fair to have years yet of wedded bliss.
