B. Welton advertised for a piece of . steel lost from the radiator of his 'studebakeiw car. The paper came lout on Wednesday noon, and by six o'clock that evening Mr. Welton had word of the missing band . Another case was of a cap being found in a garage in town, an advt. as inserted, I and the owmer turned up the day o4 publication. Mr. Robt Vause adver- tised young pigs for sale and they were all taken three days after the paper appeared. This all shows that the small advertisements are widely r^ad and a (luicker medium for dis- posing or buying stock could not be found. A holiday party Jrom Brampton i spent the 3rd of June at Er^enia, and i motored through Flesherton ^n their way out. They travelled i:i four touring cars and one of the huge pa&jcngcr motor cars which arc used between Brampton and Toronto undj on other highways leading into the. Queen city. The busses are of ani inxmense construction and thirty pas-' sengers can be seated in comfort. ' During the past Xew years there have | been immense stride.') in motor bus construction and the result is a large roomy, and confortable mode of trav- el. A big field day is being held on Thursday, iune 10th, by the Agricul- tural Society, when baseball and Softball games will be played, along with a horseshoe pitching contest. The Softball tournament will consist of girls' teams from Markdale, Kim- berley, Dundalk and Flesherton, and a baseball game will be played be- tween Kimberley and Flesherton Gen- re Grey League teams. The annnal meeting of the South Grey Lib. -Assoc, will be held in the Town Hall, Durham on Wednesday afternoon, June 2nd, at 2 o'clock. Mr. W. E. Sinclair, leader at the op- position, and Hon. Nelson Parliament, ex-speaker, will be present to address the meeting. Ladies especially in- vited. The executive will meet at one o'clock.â€" S. B. Clarke, Sec'y. CHURCH PROPERTY FOR SALE S. S.
