Mc-Pher- 80D, CollinKWOod, a few days ago, a former well known resident of Osprey township, Mrs. Henry Seigell, aged W years. Mrs. Seiggell, w^ose maiden name was Isobel McAllister, was born in Islay, Scotland, in 1836, and when about 15 years of age came to Can- ' ada wtih her parents and brothers and sisters, settling at the village gf Nottawa. When about 25 years of age she was married to Mr. Henry SsiggeU, moving from Nottawa to Osprey township and like all the early settlers of those days, hewed a home for themselves, in a country ; that was practically all bush. For I 46 years they resided in Osprey, dur- ' ing which time Mr. Seiggt^U died, also j one daughter, Margaret, Mrs. Archie 1 Currie. After her husband's death I Mrs. Seiggell moved to Singhampton. Mr. Ed< Harbottle intends having his new mill going full time by June the first, with a good stock of logs in. The order of t'he day, or evening we might say, is the planrung and work- ing of a memory quilt that the Ladies' Aid is busy at. It just requires three hundred and sixty names to complete the work. One fair lady has over 36 names abeady. Mrs. Wm. Sempl>3 is bound to catch the early market this fall, as she has a setting of goose eggs hatching. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. John Ottewell of the 10th line, Osprey, to our iViidst. Mr. Wm. Tyler and Herb McMullon have completed their big cut of over 120 cords of wood for Mr. Jas. Mc- Kenzie and Mr. W. J. Chard in the Cooper bush, near Wool Pond. Mr. Tyler has engaged to help Mr. Jas. Best of the Toronto Gravel with the farm work. This will he his third summer with Mr. Best, which speaks well for both sides. Master Herb goes to help Mr. Chard with his har- vest of maple syrup. Wedding bells ara ringing.
