West, Methodint clergyman I at Holstein, Thonia", McNanney of I New Toronto was this morning sen- tenced to six months in the Ontario Reformatory at Guelph. Evidence went to show that McNanny saw Rev. Mr. West remove two buffalo robes from a cutter in the shed at the rear of his church on teh night of March 12 and, not being aware of the fact that the robes belonged to the minister, wrote him a letter in which he said that for the sum of $50 he would suppress the news fvom the press of the taking of the robes and would say nothing further about it. Mr. West at once placed the letter in the hands of the Crown authorities, I but before action was taken another I letter was received further insisting I that his demands be complied with â-  and asking that the money be sent I to a Montreal address, intimating that ! he was going there.
