Mill Creek, on Tuesday, June 15ih. The meeting; was opened at 1.30 with the District President, Mrs. Down, of Flesherton, in the chair. The President spoke briefly raviewing the year's work. A short address was giTen by Lieut. Col. Cinnichael and Mr. Cooper, ReD. of Agri. Dept., Markdale. The minutes of last district meeting were read by the District Secretary, Mrs. W. A. Hawksn. of Fleaherion, after which a full r»;j(nt of the work uf the District and tho branches was given showing a combined balance on hand of ?2,206.33, Back branch represented a»vg a report of the year's work all ahowinjj increases. Pars- low last Weduesday, when there was a good attendance. Wilfred Parslow took a trip t.o Ojhswa for a car for Mr. Watson of Dundalk. We are afraid the hills will have to be cut throunh lo order to have level roads for oars, aa some are unablo to climb hills. We have our high sohool students home for the holidays again. Mr. and Mrs. Meads and son. Joe, have gone anay fur a week's holidays. King is the man who pleaded guilty to the crime of •eduction about three weeks a.;o.
