Pt», Maurice Wright, son of Mr, John Wright, of town, returned home Monday evening, having arrived from overseas en the Mauretania last Friday. Maurice was thirteen months in the trenches and escaped unscathed. He attempted to enlist when only seventeen but was turned down. The moment he w\s of proper age, though, he was off with the 248lh Battalion. There are a good many young men in this country who cannot look Maurice and many others square in the eye when they say good day. Maurice is Inoking famously well. The first instalment of "The Bear of Silver Dale" by George Gilbert, the well- known outdoor writer, appears in Rod and Gun for June. This is a thrilling story of adventure along the trap line. Anyone interested in the Timagami Forest Reserv* would do well to read the splendid article entitled '°A Seven Day Canoe Trip" which tells of the doiotis of eight red blooded young men in the north country, Robert Pai^e Lincoln, the author of Fishing Notes Department, is the writer of an Interest- ing and instructive article on summer camping.
