The Advance was then a four page, seven column paper, and a very creditable sheet under the manage- ment of A. R. Fawcett, now of the Burks Falls Arrow. The present owner took over the paper on August 1. 18&8, seven years after Its inception. Thirty years is quite a loDg time to hang on to the steering wheel of a local newspaper.
