F. and A.M . were at home to their friends on Friday evening of last week in the assembly hall of the high schoul. The hall was taste- fully decorated and homelike. After spending some time in games aud other amusements a very interesting program waa (riven and thoroughly enjoyed by all present. The following assisted in the program : Mr*. Thompson of Markdale, whileJP.M. Bor. M. K. Richardson occupied the chair in his usual pleasing manner. It is need- less to say that every cumber was greatly appreciated by all. After this part of the evening'* entertainment had been completed the guests repaired to the din- ing ball where elaborate preparations hod been made. The tables appeared very inviting and a dainty repast was served. After satisfying the cravings of the inner man, games, etc . , were resumed for some time, and the singing of Auld Lang Syne brought the entertainment to a close.
