The Port Law and Proton baseball ,teanis foUiiht a battle royal. All that Could and need be said of the game is that at the end of the innings the score was only 28-22 runs, with Proton on top. Of course this result was no surprise. The Proton team had nicenew uniforms, and all the gills to hoot for tbeui. After the match everybody par- took of the bountiful and tasty supper supplied by the Proton ladies, as only they know how. Miss Saunders gave two well Hilected readings which Won hearty applause. Miss Saunders is well knovvn to Proton audiences and is always welcomed. Miss I. Parks sang a solo which was well received. Misses Biiinie and Watson were on hand to show how splendidly Dundalk talent could acquit itself, and delighted iho audience with a choice duet. Mr. A. D. Porter faced the crowd twice and deliveied solos. He was heartily encored and responded each time with a comic selection. He was desciibed by some as '' taking the cake." J.
