Presbyterian Anniversary On Christmas evening the Presbyterian Sabbath school gave their annual tea- meeting and entertainment. The tea- meeting part was ably handled by the ladies of the congregation, as was shown by the groaning bibles which were spread in the basement. The progi-am, which was mostly sup- plied by the little folks, was also excel- lent. A cute little dialogue was given by Miss Marguerite Runstadtler and Master R. N. Cornfield. Lillian Stinson sang a solo. Recitations were given by Ruby Radley, Leone Thompson, Lillian Bus- kin, Pearl Radley, Gladys Cornfield and others. Several dialogues were given and Dr. R Henderson of Toronto sang a solo and responded to a hearty encore. The report of the Sabbath school was as follows : Average attendance 39, total verses 3845, average 76, and tlie most any scholar is allowed to repeat per Sunday is seven verses. The number of scholars on the roll was 94, and two mem- bers were lost, one by removal and one by death. This last was the late Norris Tucker, who was a victim of the Caledou wreck, and a touching reference was made to his untimely death. Those most regular in attendance were Pearl Radley, S. Chard, Muriel McTavish, Etta Le- Gard, Geo. Harrison and Roy Thistle- thwaite. Those receiving prizes in the various classes were : P. Radley, M. McTavish, E. LeGard, R, Chard, Geo. Harrison, R. Thistlethitaite, and Susie Chard. The financial report was as fol- lows : Balance on hand, 924.16 ; amount on hand, 966. The main event of the evening was the rendering of a fine can- tata. The costumes in this were good and those who took part were well trained. Mr. Wes. Buskin acted the part of Santa Claus, and a particularly fine one he made. The c-antata embraced several violin solos, which were admir- ably rendered by Mr. Jetf Thistlethwaite. 'The proceeds of the anniversary amounted to 966.90.
