_Several arrests._ On Saturday morning last a dastardly melee took place near Proton Station between a familt named Rutherford, who runs a brick yard, and Robt. Neilson. It appears Neilson sold Rutherford the property as well as house where both families live, Neilson having the right to dwell in a portion of said house until a stated time. It would appear that Rutherford wished Neilson to leave the house before his time was up, and notified him to that effect, but Neilson could not procure, or erect a place at this season of the year, so Rutherford endeavered to make things so unpleasant that he would be forced to leave for peace sake. Not being successful, he threatened to "clean him out," and on the above morning undertook to do so, he and his two sons and hired man, with iron poker and clubs. Neilson's man came to his assistance, but both were badly belabored by the other four. The four were arrested and taken to Owen Sound on Thursday, where a magistrates court was to be held yesterday.
