Description
McKenzie Mines located on McKenzie Island. McKenzie Red Lake Mines was formed in 1932. Milling began in 1935. To the end of 1962, a total of 2,068,036 tons of ore had been milled, producing $25 million of gold bullion. The mine closed in 1965.
