- Description
- In the post war (1947), the lure of a new beginning on Lake Superior shores was irresistible to many. Pioneers from around the globe came to the isolated country of Canada, hoping to provide a safe and healthy environment for their children. This was made possible by hard work and perseverance. The people of Terrace Bay came to South Camp for recreation, business and to receive medical attention. Terrace Bay was known as the 'Gem of the North'.
