Dinner at Piper's Farm

Members of the Ontario Legislature, newspaper journalists from throughout the province, and various dignitaries pose for this photograph at W.S. Piper's farm in Slate River. The MLA's, who traveled via the steamship 'The City Of Collingwood', toured the towns of Port Arthur and Fort William first. The reason for the tour of Northwestern Ontario was to 'view the country and its resources.' Members of the Legislature traveled to the Rainy River area by rail the following day.
