- The S.S. Marquette of the Cleveland Cliffs Steamship company,is loading the first shipload of ore at the CN dock at Port Arthur. The ore dock, as shown was not yet completed when the first trainloads of ore began arriving from Steep Rock and the first ships began to move the ore out of the port. A similar photograph in the Fort William Daily Times Journal leads us to believe that the year inscribed on the lower left of the photograph is incorrect.
