- Iron ore is being loaded into the hold on the S.S. Marquette. The Marquette was the first ship to load Steep Rock iron ore at Port Arthur's CN iron ore dock. The date printed on the lower left of the photo is incorrect. The Marquette docked on July 21st 1945.
