- Description
- Crowds line the streets and roof-tops along Red River Road (then called Arthur Street) near St. Paul Street. Making their way down Red River Road is an all-girls drum and trumpet marching band called the Thunder Bay Trumpeteers. The band, led by Miss Donalda McDougall, had been practicing for three months in order to participate in the parade that celebrated the Royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.
