Hi,
This is Glen A Johnston, Electrician at the site. His family of three...later four when I was born...lived in The Colony in a two story house. I remember my Mother telling me the wood pile story...it was a never-ending task to keep the house heated...and the wood pile FULL!
Dad stood 6'3" tall, this should give proper perspective as to the turbine generator's size.
We lived there from approximately 1947-48 through 1951. Again, this is my best guess! My older brother, Clifford A, may add more.
