Page 3, News, Tuesday, April 28, 1992 New Schreiber Recreation Director Jeff Dicaire by Darren MacDonald The News The new Schreiber Recre- ation Director is no stranger to Northwestern Ontario. "I did my internship in Red Rock," says Jeff Dicaire, who started work April 21. "From there, I applied and got the Recreation Director position in Nakina, where I worked for two years." Originally from Espanola, Ont., Dicaire went to Lake Superior University in Sault Saint Marie, Michigan, on a hockey scholarship. "I played everywhere from centre, left wing--defence on the power play," he says. "I was a jack of all trades really." "But after I was there for a year, they declared the position redundant," he says. So when the position in Schreiber opened up, he was available. "I had heard through a cou- ple of recreation directors on the Northshore that the job (in Schreiber) was available," he said. Dicaire's wife, Maria, is an elementary school teacher. "So she's going to finish her contract in Massey, and then she'll be coming up in June," he says. Also joining him in June will be Dicaire's four month old son, Matthew.
