The accusation was brought by Schreiber resident Nick Pre- bushewski, in a statement he made to Schreiber Council April 21. Prebushewski accused Krause of making it "common knowledge" around Schreiber that Prebushewski's mother was going to be charged with ' welfare fraud. "In the best interests of our community, I request that you resign," he said, at the end of his statement. "I can tell you right now, I have no intentions of resign- ing," Krause responded. He also refused to comment on Prebushewski's allegations, saying only "I'm not prepared to speak on it right now." Sgt. Andy 'Templar of the Schreiber OPP confirmed that Mrs. Prebushewski was charged with fraud last week.
