Liz Boutilier Broker 825-9492 ochreiber Reeve asked to resign Resident accuses Bob Krause of breaching confidentiality guidelines Schreiber Reeve Bob Krause (above) is accused of breaching confidentiality guidelines by Darren MacDonald The News Schreiber Reeve Bob Krause has been asked to resign because of allegations he breached the Freedom of Infor- mation and Protection of Priva- cy Act. The accusation was brought by Schreiber resident Nick Pre- bushewski, in a statement he made to Schreiber Council April 21. Prebushewski accused Krause of making it "common knowledge" around Schreiber that Prebushewski's mother was going to be charged with ' welfare fraud. "In the best interests of our community, I request that you resign," he said, at the end of his statement. "I can tell you right now, I have no intentions of resign- ing," Krause responded. He also refused to comment on Prebushewski's allegations, saying only "I'm not prepared to speak on it right now." Sgt. Andy 'Templar of the Schreiber OPP confirmed that Mrs. Prebushewski was charged with fraud last week. He also said information the OPP received from the town- ship office led to the fraud investigation.
