The band is made up of the students in each school, said Howard Alexander, music teacher at the Lake Superior High School. Three students from Lake Superior High School, Kathie Tukhanen, flute, Lee Ann Fenton, alto sax, and Anthony Friederich, tenor sax, were members of the band "It's an enrichment activity for the senior and advanced students," he said. The programs in each school are fairly small and this is an opportunity for these stu- dents to perform at a higher level than they normally would, Alexander explained.
