The Grade 7 students, for the second year, organized the collection, putting up posters and encouraging each each grade to take part. They presented awards of merit to each class during the assembly. The Grade 1 class and the Grade 4 class presented $110.50 to the campaign which they collected in pennies. Students in all of the schools in the area helped the Share the Wealth Campaign. Shannon Long and Mary Commisso have busy planning an exciting array of activities for children between four and 14. A family skating party will be held on Friday, Dec 21, in con- junction with the Share the Wealth Campaign Admission will be one can of food, toys or clothing. After Christmas, on. Thursday, he younger crowd will gather at the Complex entrance in the morning for a Sliding party. The older set will gather in the after- noon. Hot chocolate and Dogs will be provided. A Talent Show and Air Band Contest will provide the entertain- ment on Friday, Dec. 28, at the Community Hall.Minor Hockey will be held on Saturday and on Sunday the children can colour all day in a Colouring Contest. On Monday, Dec. 31, all chil- dren between 9-14 years, with hel- mets, can take part in a road hock- ey tournament at the Outdoor Rink. They must register. Movies for the young children will be shown in Meeting Room 2, 11.30 - 1.30 on Wednesday. The older kids can watch movies on the same day 2 p.m. - 4p.m. A Spirit Stravaganza is. sched- uled for Thursday and Game Show Day for Friday. The Recreation staff would like all participants to register at the Recreation office or, in the evening, at the Concession Booth. It will help them provide a well organized and successful holiday _ for everyone.
