Participating in our many Fall and Winter Programs can make it a little easier. It's a great way to meet new people, acquire special skills and have fun. We will be offering several Fitness Programs, Teen Workshops, Kids Programs plus many new and. exciting Special Interest Programs. Our Brochure will be available prior to the Fall Fair. Summer Programs Our summer programs are coming to an end. Although weather conditions were not favorable during the past three weeks, we still man- aged to have a successful season of swimming lessons. The pool will officially close on August 25 with 'the last swim of the year - a Super Float and Open Swim from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. We hope to see everyone again next year! Thank You, Your Pool Staff. Summer Playground Our Summer Playground Program has been very successful this year. The last weck is filled with exciting events for the kids. The last day for the Summer Playground Program is Thursday August 24. Have a great year at school and we'll sec you next summer. Schreiber rec news Mixed Baseball Playoffs The Annual Schreiber Mixed Slow Pitch League Playoff Tournament got underway on Monday evening. With two games per night held every evening from the 21st to the 25th and the conclusion of the Tournament games being held on Saturday and Sunday August 26 and 27. This year's A side and B side playoff format offers to be more exciting with closer scores and some heart stopping finales to" some very tense games. These forms may be picked up at the Recreation Office. They must be completed and returned to the office before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20th. an ice-time meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept 26 at which time all the groups will receive their allotted hours for the coming season. Fall and Winter Special Events Calendar The Parks and Recreation Office is now preparing its Fall and Winter Brochure. Any groups wishing to advertise their meet- ings Or upcoming special events can submit all the details to the Recreation Office at 824-2317 and we will be happy to include it in our brochure. Fall Programs We are presently compiling a list of possible programs and workshops for this fall. Anyone with a request or a need for.a spe- cific program can contact the Recreation Office and we will include it in our Fall Program. Summer Playground Summer Playground has now come to an end. We would like to thank the parents that drove for our-camping trip at Rainbow Park. We would also like to thank everyone who helped make our summer a great success. Sce you next summer.
