Last year proved to be very successful, and this year expects to draw even larger crowds. So set aside SUNDAY, SEPTEM- BER 10th for the biggest Fall Fair on the North Shore. Crime Stoppers During the Civic Holiday weekend last summer a Thunder Bay area riding stable fell prey to a theft of riding equipment valued at over $1,000. An unknown person or per- sons drove to the riding stable located south of Thunder Bay in Pearson Township along Hwy. - 595 and stole three saddles and two bridles. Evidence at the scene of the crime indicates the vehicle used in this theft is likely a small size pickup. The three saddles and two bri- dles are identifiable by Police. Stars The Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club's 1988-89 season ended with a celebration of skat- ing on April 1 and 2. The carni- val, called Stars of '89, was a big LAKEHEAD REGIONAL FAMILY CENTRE LAKEHEAD REGIONAL FAMILY CENTRE is a community based Children's Mental Health Centre providing mental health and support services to children/adoles- cents and their families. We are presently recruiting for the position of: FAMILY WORKER - Terrace Bay & Schreiber area Responsibilities include assessment of, and programming for, children from birth to six (6) years of age who are developmentally delayed, behaviour problems or "at risk" of becoming delayed. The Child Development Program follows a home-based model assisting parents to deal with their child's development and/or behavioural problems. Qualifications: The preferred candidate will possess skills in working with parents and children, as well as a college diploma or university degree in a related field. Applicants must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and use of a car. An excellent benefits package is offered.
