Wednesday, March 1, 1989 TERRACE BAY/SCHREIBER NEWS Page 7 Schreiber Legion mixed curling bonspiel results The Schreiber Legion Branch. 109 held its annual mixed Sweetheart Bonspiel during the week end of February 10th and 11th. The fun began on Friday when 16 rinks competed. It being carni- val week we had the pleasure of having the King (Jack Handel) and Queen (Beth Macadam) along with the vice president of the auxiliary Earline Johnson throwing the rock with President of the Branch Laurence Madge sweeping. Winners were in the Ist event Charlotte Miller rink with Terry Condie 3rd Sandra Labbe 2nd and Jayne Santerre lead. Runner up in the A Division was the Bill Hiller rink. 3rd runner up was Earline Johnson rink and 4th went to Albert Ray rink. The B event winner was the Kevin Mullins rink. Team mem- bers were Connie Bryson 3rd Mike Miller 2nd and Linda Vezina lead. Runner up in the. B event were Edgar Ray rink. 3rd runner up was Ray Wilson Sr. and 4th was the H. Spikula rink. - The C event winner was the Jody Davis rink with team mem- bers Andy Miller 3rd, Judy Bryson 2nd _and Marie Fortier lead. Runner up in the C event was Fred McColeman rink, 3rd runner up was the G. Cousineau rink and 4th was Barry Harper rink. Winner of the Ghetto blaster was Tony Zborowski. The sports committee would like to thank the businesses that donated prizes also a big thank you to all for supporting our event.
