Page 18, Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, CHRISTMAS EXTRA, December, 1986 Trifle recipe The following two recipes were submitted by Sheelagh Hamilton of Terrace Bay. Hot Swiss Trifle 1 swiss roll 12 oz. can apricots (drained) 2 tbsp. custard powder 2 large eggs (separated) 1 tbsp. sugar 2% cups milk 3 oz. sugar (for meringue) 1 oz. blanched almonds (optional) Preheat oven to 350 F. Slice the swiss roll and arrange in a | litre glass fireproof bowl. Arrange apricots on roll. Mix together custard powder, egg yolks and sugar with a little of the milk. Heat the rest of the milk and bring almost to a boil and pour on- to custard mix. Return to saucepan and bring to boil, stir well and when thick, pour over apricots.
