I am sure all of us enjoyed the beautiful "Winter Wonderland", Dec. 3- too bad the snow fell off the trees, but we could look at it for a day anyway. Before I go on, I would like to say a big "'Thank-you"' for the replacement of street lights. This means a lot to the ladies who work the night shifts at the hospital, and here at Birchwood- so again, Thank-you. Our home is really starting to look like Christmas. Mina and Bonnie have been very busy all week putting up the lovely decorations, so it will look nice when you, our friends, drop in to see us during the yuletide season. Many events have been planned for the residents of Birchwood during this festive time of year, and we are grateful MEIER IKKE KK to all those who are so kind and thoughtful in doing so many things for us- not only at this time of year, but all year long. We are happy to welcome back home one of our residents August Eggen who was in hospital these past two weeks- we missed the twinkle in his eyes, a very nice gentleman. I will have more bits of news for you, our friends, as we swing into the Christmas season. However, I would like to remind all our friends who come to play bridge, that a day has been decided on. It will be on Tuesdays from now on as Wednesday was not very good for some of the ladies from Schreiber. So make a note of this and do come in on Tues- day afternoons from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and pass an afternoon with our residents. Arora said that all the pictures were taken without filters of any kind. The photographs ranged in size from 8 x 10 to 20 x 24 and were embraced with lovely frames. Arora said that the frames he chose for the photos were. ones he believes best enhance the beau- ty of the particular scene. Arora also showed beautiful slides of this and other areas. He said that about 100 people pass- ed through all day and that he sold five of his pictures. This is Arora's second exhibition, his first being at the Fall Fair back in September. ""It took me two months to get ready (for the exhibition)," said Arora. He would like to open a place where he could more successfully display his wares, but said that store space is not available right now and it is very hard to get. Arora believes he would do well if he had an outlet and mentioned that people find it awkward to go to his home to see his photos. Arora is an instrument mechanic at the mill and considers photography just a hobby. If you would like to see Arora's photographs, you can call him at 825-9097.
