There were five teams from Thunder Bay, three from Terrace Bay, two from Nipigon, and one each from Schreiber, Minnesota, The First Annual Kleenex-Huggies Ladies' Cashspiel rolled to a close last Sunday with the Pam Leavitt Rink from Windsor, Ontario taking the $3,000 first prize. The Tilden Rink comes from St. Paul, Minnesota and it boasts a combined curling experience of 53 years. Tilden has 16, Hultstrand has 20, Debbie has 13 and Kathleen has 4. Geraldine and Marsha have curled together on many champion- ship teams beginning with the 1973 U.S. National Bonspiel. State titles were won in 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1985. (Photo by Ken Lusk) . : The Leavitt rink live in the Windsor, Ontario; area where they curl out of the Roseland Golf and Country Club. They bring with them a combined curling experience of 53 years of which Pam and Bev lead the way with 16 years each, Sue has 15 years and Cathy, 6. They boast achievements from both the provincial and national levels. These include the 1985 Ontario Champion- ships which entitled them to represent the province at the 1985 Canadian Championships held in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Last year they finished runner-up to the Marilyn Darte rink in the Ontario Championships. These achievements led to.Pam, Sue and Bev being invited to the 1988 Olympic Curling Training Camp- held earlier this month.
