Schreiber Aerobics The second session of Aerobics will commence on Tuesday, November 12 under the instruction of Betty Tate. Classes run Tuesday and Thursdays in the afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 and in the evening from 8:45 to 9:45 con- cluding on Thursday, December 19th. Par- ticipants are reminded that they must register at the recreation office prior to attending their first session. Microwave Cooking Course The recreation depart- ment in conjunction with Confederation College will be holding a Microwave Cooking" course on Satur- day, December 7th. The course will begin at 11:00 a.m. and run to 4:00 p.m. For more information and to register contact the recreation office at 824-2317. ~ Cake Decorating Course The recreation depart- ment in conjunction with Confederation College will be holding a Cake Decorating Course on November 29th and 30th. The course instructor will be Judy Simons and times are Friday, 7:00 to 10:00 and Saturday 9:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 4:00. Cake Decorating Kits are includ- ed in the registration fee. Christmas Craft Workshop for children 7 to 12 years has been set for Saturday, November 30th from 1:30 to 4:00 in the Time again for another chat with all you nice folks. ] trust you all had a good time on Halloween and that there were no accidents, and the weather was not too bad so all in all it was o.k. The residents here at Birchwood enjoyed a nice party the eve of Halloween which was hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary to Bir- chwood. A lovely game of charades was enjoyed by all. We then had the pleasure of listening to the music of Yvon Parasie and his family. Along with some older music, a few nice waltzes at the end of the evening a tasteful lunch was served by the Ladies auxiliary. Our grateful thanks to the Ladies and Mr. Parasie and his family. We are all missing the president of our Residence Council, Blanch Speck who is in Port Arthur General Hospital Thunder Bay, and we all wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her return. On Thursday afternoon we enjoyed a film in our Re ¢ room,..our activities director Joann Leblanc ar- ranged for us - it was most by Helene Ballard interesting and helped pass the afternoon, thank you Joann. Seems now our days are getting shorter therefore it gets dark earlier so a word to the wise - for children walking pleasle use care in crossing streets and the highway - and to drivers also use caution, you know children do not always think so we must look out for them. Before I close please remember our Bridge games are every Wednes- day afternoon from | to 3:30, do drop over and help our residents enjoy their card games it will also make you feel good. Thank You. This service is open to everyone 19 years of age or over or if you will reach the age of majority by June 30th, 1986. Participants are re- quired to bring a copy of their birth or baptismal cer- tificate and also a witness who has known you for at least one year. For more information contact the recreation office.
