Page 2, Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, July 17, 1985 Hi Everyone! It's a lovely day weatherwise and for that we are grateful. I trust all is well with you nice readers. This humble per- son had a bright spot in my week, my youngest son, Bert came to visit his sister, Syl Duquette and me, so it was a lovely week in spite of other events. Other visitors have come to town of course and I am sure we welcome them and wish them all **Happy Holidays."' However we here at Terrace all feel rather sad, and more than a bit upset, in fact this little ole gal is darn right mad. My Irish temper got the best of me and so I don't feel much like making jokes today. I am speaking of the damage done to our Bus. Some persons with a very warped sense of humour really fixed it so that we cannot use the bus until repairs are.made. Last Fri- day night or early Saturday by Helene Ballard Winner. of the Terrace Bay Ski Club Water Ski raffle is Ollie Chapman Congratulations Ollie morning someone ruined all four of the tires, pulled . down the aerial on the bus and as if that was not . enough made a long . scratch on the right side with a sharp instrument. Its a sad world we: live in when people get their kicks out of destroying things but to my way of thinking, whoever you are did this let me tell you, I think you are sinking pretty low to come and do something like that to the elderly because of your stupid thoughtless act we are now without means of transportation besides the cost involved. What did you get anyway? All I can say is I hope you are caught and made you pay the damages maybe if you do you will see that there are other ways and other things to do far so called fun without all this destruction, try doing something con- structive for a change, and stop this stupid waste. I am sure you are no better off for having done this. What have you got against the elderly? Instead of being destructive for goodness sakes, find out what you can do to help your town and its people then get busy and do it...believe me you will feel a lot better, so if you read this - stop and think about it please before you get into more or worse trouble, our jails are full enough. Sorry folks my column is only a big bite but I had to get this off my chest. I would like to close to- day with best wishes and 'Happy Birthday" to our friends in Schreiber I hope you have a lovely week for are your events and have fun meeting old friends and maybe in the process make new ones.
