Recreation News Terrace Bay Easter Weekend Schedule The Recreation Centre including the arena will be closed Good Friday only: Regular hours apply for Saturday and Sunday. Public Skating on Easter Weekend: Saturday 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday 2:00-4:00 p.m. Arena Season Coming to a Close: The last day the arena will remain open this season is April 15th. We would like to express our thanks to the user groups for their co-operation this past season and look for- ward to seeing you all next fall. Mixed Slowpitch 'There will be a general open meeting on Wednes- day April 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room to organize this summer program. Anyone who is interested in entering a team or wish to participate please plan to attend. This. will be the third season for Mixed Ball and it is our in- tention to form a volunteer body to implement this program. We were able to accomplish this with Men's Slow Pitch and the ex- ecutive have done a tremendous job in pro- moting their leagues. The program runs from the middle of May to the end of June. Divisions include: T-Ball - boys and girls 5-7 years. International League boys 8-10 years, American League - boys 11-13 years, national league boys 14-16 years, girls league blue jays 8-14 years, girls league ex- pos. 15-17 years. We are also in search of people' who will be available to assist with coaching and improving the games. Marathon Swim Lesson The Terrace Bay Recreation Committee in conjunction with the Marathon Recreation is of- fering Red Cross Swimm- ing lessons. Theses lessons will be for those students taking instructions in Levels Yellow to White of the Red Cross Swimming Courses. Lessons will commence in Marathon on April 20th and continue each Saturday till June 22nd. We must have more registration if these lessons are to take place.
