And whereas the ex- tension of natural gas lines to Terrace Bay now appears to be a dis-. tinct possibility in the near future; - Now therefore be it resolved that the Coun- cil of the Corporation of the Township of Ter- race Bay will petition the Government of Can- ada to extend the C.O.- S.P. program in Ter- race Bay until natural gas has been available to residents for a period of one year, in order to encourage the conver- sion of homes and bus- Youth council An announcement of an expanded program for funding of Youth- Counselling Centres for - 'thard to employ" youth was received by council from the Ontario Youth Secretariat. Councillor Ramsay will investigate which local agencies might sponsor such a centre and talk to indi- viduals who may be con- cerned with the problem in order to ascertain if there is a need for such a centre. No parking refused Ms. Leslie Gerlach re- quested council to re- consider the implemen- tation of the new "No Parking" areas on Ken- ogami Rd. It was the consensus of council that the reasons for im-° plementing the regula- tion had not changed and therefore the reg- ulations should remain as is.
