Sec. 173(1) of the Highway Traffic Act will now read ..Every per- son in charge of a motor vehicle who is directly or indirectly involved in an accident shall, if the ac- cident results in person- al injury or in damage to property apparantly ex- ceeding $700.00, report the accident forthwith to the nearest provincial or municipal police officer and furnish him with such information con- cerning the accident as may be required by the officer. The $400. limit still applies to accidents in- volving snowmobiles. There are no provisions for the reporting of ac- cidents in the Off Road Vehicle Act.
