The Sabres won $600. In the Consolation Fi- . nal, local rivals of the Red Rock League did battle, with the Red Rock Superiors defeat- ing the Nipigon Huskies by a score of 10-4. Superiors picked up $500 and the Huskies Schreiber road Attention hockey en- thusiasts ages 13 and over! The Schreiber Parks and Recreation Com- mittee is sponsoring the Second Annual Winter Carnival Road Hockey Tournament! The tourney will be held from Sat. March 10th - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Sunday March 11 - 12 noon to 4 p.m. (if necessary). The event is sched- uled to take place at the Schreiber Recreation Complex in the west side parking lot. If you plan to participate, please register no later than Wednesday, March 7th by 5:00 p.m. at the Recreation Office. Bantam "Kings" report The Schreiber Ban- :am Kings Hockey Team sravelled to Manitou- wadge to participate in a regular season North Shore Tournament on February 18, 19. Amidst the excitement and acti- vities of the Annual Manitouwadge Snow Fest the Bantam Kings sould only manage one tie, 7 to 7 against the Manitouwadge squad. The Kings in their first hockey game surprised the Marathon team by gaining a 6 to 3 second period lead. However the Marathon squad powered back in the third period to win by a score of 8 to 6. . The Kings played Ter- race Bay on Sunday morning and unfortun- ately did not maintain their winning ways against the Terrace Bay squad. This closely con- tested match ended in a 6 to 4 score in favor of Terrace Bay. Weekend All Star Se- lections made by the Coaching Staff were Coe Commisso, Cory '*Scrooge" Huard, Arron "Animal" Le- mieux, and Darren '*Psycho" Dooley.
