The Schreiber Parks and Recreation Depart- ment is finalizing plans for their 2nd Annual Christmas Program. This action-packed and fun-filled program is geared for youth. Here is a sneak preview of just a few activities. Children's Christmas Party, December 21, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Community Hall, Free Public Skate session De- cember 23, 7:00 to 9:00 p-m. in the Schreiber Arena. Other activities will include Movie Rama, Cartoon Festival, Youth Sleep-over, shinny hockey. Program brochures will be distributed to local school children in early December. A pub- lic skate coupon (for one free admission) will be within the brochure. Make sure to receive your copy. Confederation College Courses The Recreation De- partment in conjunction with Confederation Col- lege will be offering a variety of Winter Pro- gtams, January to March 1984. Included will be Microwave Cook- ing, Basic Pottery, Art from the Oven II, and Calligraphy. Should you be interested in any of these courses then con- tact the Recreation Of- fice (824-2317). Please note that a minimum of 10 participants will be required for all courses. Word Processing Course The Recreation Dep- artment is making plans to offer a Word Proces- sing Course. This course would be held at the Recreation Complex one evening per week for 10 to 12 weeks. If inter- ested please contact the Recreation Office. This course will provide participants with knowledge of home computer products plus "hands-on" program- ming experience.
